WHAT WAS IT?
Milanovic: Well, I don't know if Twitter is on a Russian or Chinese network, but he tweeted something, right?
MYSTERIOUS TWEET
The Government announced because of Milanović: 'We have reviewed and concluded everything - either he is lying or hallucinating'
The messages that President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković have been exchanging for the last 24 hours clearly show us what hard cohabitation should look like. Throughout the day, Milanovic and Plenković criticize each other through the media and the question is how and when this public outwitting will end.
It all started last night when Milanović referred to Plenković's statement that the president was recycling the topic of the unconstitutionality of the National Staff.
Recycling as a compliment
- I see Plenković's statement that it is recycling as a compliment. Tomorrow we will carry recycled goods, so that is a kind of awareness. Yes, we live in a time of recycling, especially if someone needs to repeat the most obvious things ten times, Milanović said last night.
- Recycling is when you make something new out of something that is spent and rotten. That's what I do, he added.
However, he rejected the possibility of meeting with the prime minister and talking to him about it.

Boredom on Pantovčak
Plenković's answer did not have to wait long. He commented on Milanovic's statements before the parliamentary session, but also during conversations with journalists in the Parliament.
- It seems to me that the president is bored in the political sense, then in the absence of some serious activism, work and responsibility, he creates some topics that we have completed in Parliament. The Parliament knows on the basis of which law the Civil Protection Headquarters exists, the Government formed it, Plenković said in the Parliament.
He believes that if someone thinks that what the headquarters is doing should be done by the Parliament, then he does not know anything about what is operational and what is legislative work.
- It is such a type of micro-management that even the Government cannot do it. I am happy that I do not have to deal with the smallest details that the staff does every day as Prime Minister, but that does not mean that we do not control everything they do, said Plenković.
Asked if he had talked about the topic with the president, the prime minister replied that he had, but that he "disagreed with what he was saying" and how they had shown it to the entire opposition.

- We are not looking for rest, and that is the key difference. Those who deal with problems in order to solve them for the benefit of Croatian citizens, and those who have the time and ask for some small details, such as the intervention of MP Bauk. You have trivialization, trivialization, searching for details, and solving big problems. Croatian citizens 'understand' it, people see it, they went to the polls and elected us, Plenković said.
When asked when he last spoke with President Milanovic, he did not specify but said that Milanovic first had an atypical inauguration, different moves, minimizing activities for Statehood Day, did not come to the solemn session of the Croatian Parliament, and it was not known whether he voted in the parliamentary elections. or not.
- We've talked several times, and we don't agree. We agreed to disagree. We are politically different. What I am saying I am saying very deliberately and consciously, because I am listening now to what has accumulated for five months. I listen and follow those moves. It is important that the public sees this. You have a government that works, that works hard and struggles to solve problems. And you have someone who objectively has more time and less authority and who has results like this in five months. Let someone question it a little, Plenković stated.
Badgers, non-existent tweets ...
Later in the afternoon, Milanovic again had the need to respond to the prime minister, thinking that Plenković's statement about boredom in Pantovčak was launched via Twitter.
- He did not criticize me, but the function. As far as I understand Croatian, he said that this is the fate of the job, that I have only now realized what kind of job I am doing. So, it is not my fault, but the fact is, whether I am bored or not, that the one who writes such messages on Twitter, and the Prime Minister, is very bored, said Milanovic.
Still, he said he did not believe the criticism was personally written by the prime minister on Twitter, but by some “badger” from his office at night.

- I can't understand that Plenković would write such nonsense, Milanović said, without specifying which Plenković's tweet was about.
When even reporters could not find the controversial tweet, the president was a little confused.
- Well, I don't know if Twitter is on a Russian or Chinese network, but he tweeted something, right? Nikola? ', Said Milanović, addressing his spokesman Nikola Jelić for clarification .
- No. He stated that, Jelic said.
- That was on his Twitter ?, Milanović asked again.
- Yes, but live, Jelic answered.
- So he follows himself on Twitter? Cool. Modern, said Milanović and said goodbye to the journalists with a laugh.
Little "twitter gaf" @Ured_PRH
So Milanović referred for 30 minutes to a tweet that doesn't exist because he thought that Plenković tweeted about him, and then in the end when it was explained to him that @AndrejPlenkovic didn't tweet it, but stated, that's how it is finished .. @vijestihr pic.twitter.com/Yed2xVnA2j

A lie or hallucination
It was still not clear to the media representatives what kind of tweets the president was talking about, so they asked the Government for clarification. After their announcement, it became clear that no one was wasting time late at night writing on Twitter.
- Considering the numerous media inquiries "What late-night tweet does the President of the Republic mean", we reviewed the Prime Minister's tweets in the past period to check whether anything was tweeted in the late hours against the President of the Republic. The only thing we can conclude after that review is that the President of the Republic is either lying or hallucinating. It is quite certain that he is very bored in office and invents, the Government said
