Little by little, with a difficult word and a weak deed, the president branded himself a Soviet-type democrat
WRITES NINO ĐULA
The SDP is acting as if only Bernardic has been defeated, not their entire spent concept
And the following, autumn and winter months will pass in gloomy consideration of the crown and all its consequences on public health, personal freedoms and the financial future of citizens. This exhausting but inevitable engagement will cover, unfortunately, other serious social, systemic diseases that have been eating away at us for much longer, more persistently, and more destructively than any virus.
It is primarily about corruption and clientelism, against which, unfortunately, the state has never declared a state of epidemic or prescribed emergency measures to combat all these backward processes and actions that discourage any proper and fair action in all segments, from production to culture.
It is a big problem, namely, if this state is able to extinguish all orbitreks and ban mats in 30 minutes, but in thirty years it has not been able to at least reduce, if not completely eradicate the most vulgar forms of exploitation of public positions for private enrichment and wealth.
It is disturbing to learn that in our country, by the prompt general mobilization of active, reserve and trained epidemiologists, several hundred viral suspects can be isolated daily and sent to strict self-isolation, but for decades there is no "state body" or anti-epidemiological will to all those infected with the worst, dissolving strains of the corrupt virus are isolated, located, arrested and extradited.
It is bizarre that people can be found here who will estimate and prescribe the maximum number of people at parties and weddings, but that there are still no people who will have the courage to see the threatening highs in various secret networks and who will know how to say: Enough!"
From this inaction, it is bizarre that small neighborhood gyms are being closed in Croatia at the same time today and investigations are being opened against large public muzzles. Citizens are not allowed to leave their apartments if someone has detected that they may have been in contact with an infected person, but some state secretaries can go for signatures for the state exam, even under corona alarms. if they did not go out on it or ever encounter the material.
And so we in Croatia today have 13 people on a respirator because of the crown, but so far already 31 people in the octopus only one single affair that leads to the top of the top political elites in the country. What worries us? Are these hochstaplers ruining opportunities for capable, well-meaning professionals and patriots, or is it solely that they wore proper masks on their heads as they joined forces in illegal action that ridicules the state and humiliates its inhabitants?
It will be a great pity if, under the guise of corona protection, in this forced national deconcentration which, unfortunately, can last, the real plague of today, this disgusting cocktail of corruption and clientelism, continues to develop and multiply in the heat.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković's circle of approvers has expanded considerably lately, both left and right. Due to some of his actions and gestures, judging by the results of the elections and research, he still gained temporary trust in most of them.
However, the real confirmation for Plenković lies in the difficult challenge that the Prime Minister and President of the HDZ have yet to pass. In fact, a revolutionary invention is expected and demanded from Prime Minister Plenković. He must invent a vaccine against corruption and clientelism in Croatia in the short term. Vaccine, not therapy. None of this subsequent remediation, patching and healing. It is up to Plenković to enable an effective and fast system for detecting abuses in public and state services, at the top of the government, in real time.
It is up to him to do the same in his party, from where the immeasurable majority of such perverse cases started. To create a framework for independent institutions to combat this without interference. Not to react only to the discoveries in the media but to prevent them by his own action. To finally declare an epidemic and establish the headquarters that this country needs.
Anti-Corruption and Clientelism Headquarters. Croatia needs a "Capak" who will be obsessed with money launderers, not just personal trainers and waitresses.
