Large banks and investment houses are rapidly moving huge amounts of financial assets they manage from London to several European destinations. The reason for the evacuation of financial assets from London is Brexit, which is a heavy blow to the British financial industry.

For example, these days JPMorgan alone has announced that it is transferring around 200 billion euros from London to Frankfurt due to Brexit. The transfer of such a huge amount according to their plans should be completed by the end of this year. JPMorgan's new operations in Frankfurt could therefore rise to the level of the sixth largest German bank in terms of balance sheet size.
JPMorgan is just one of the large investment houses / banks that are forced to migrate financial assets from London to various European destinations. They choose Paris, Frankfurt, Milan and Madrid as the most common destinations. JPMorgan says that they would strengthen their operations in Germany and the EU, regardless of Brexit. This applies to investment banking, corporate banking and wealth management. In addition to the new European headquarters in Frankfurt, JPMorgan is also developing special hubs in Paris, Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
Germany was also chosen by UBS, Standard Chartered and Citigroup as a new key European destination after the evacuation from London due to Brexit.
