At first, he referred to the Janaf affair. - The policy of our Government is zero tolerance for corruption. We fully support the work of the judiciary to detect all acts that are corrupt. What is extremely important, as I said at the Government session, is not good when some political actors, even very important institutions such as the President or some public commentators, are surprised and the Government and judicial bodies and the police act according to the law. Yesterday we heard from several legal experts that the investigations are secret, then only those who are authorized to have that knowledge know about it. Our goal is to prevent corruption, and it can be prevented if everyone understands very well that there are no protected people, regardless of political affiliation, name and surname or the duty they perform. As for the leak of information about the mentioned affair, Plenković said that it was not good at all. - That is not good, it happened several times during the mandate of our previous Government. There is the Varga case and then the Rimac case, the timing was interesting. One that we failed to understand who the perpetrators were in the Varga case, the other that the measures were broken by the Secretary of State from my Government a few weeks before the parliamentary elections. Those bodies that deal with it must find answers to who is leaking the information, he adds. This position contradicts the position of President Zoran Milanovic, who stated that he knew about the proceedings even before his arrest, and that this position caused a quarrel between the president and the prime minister. - I would not call it an argument, but a different understanding of the three divisions of power, respect or disrespect of the law. The state is governed by the Government. Those bodies that we have set up to deal with these topics, they are doing their job. This is not done by the Prime Minister, much less by the President of the State. Whether he has other patterns of behavior in his practice when he was in the position I hold now, these are questions that open up new dimensions of work methodology. Milanovic says that it is scandalous that the Prime Minister did not know about this investigation. - Our relations do not have to be clear. We are from different political options. We have two different electorates that have given us confidence. We disagree on some important topics. I could say that it is scandalous for the president to attack the DORH and the police. If I had uttered the same words as Milanovic, a revolution would have taken place here on St. Mark's Square. We disagree on some things, but that does not mean that we will not be on the same side about, say, the protection of national interests. The state is governed by the Government. Those bodies that we have set up to deal with these topics, they are doing their job. This is not done by the Prime Minister, much less by the President of the State. Whether he has other patterns of behavior in his practice when he was in the position I hold now, these are questions that open up new dimensions of work methodology. That is not the job of the executive and politics. We have long since left the times when politics gave orders, that is not the case in democracies. It seems to me that many political actors, as well as observers and commentators, have not fully understood the depth, the radical change in the policy we are pursuing as a Government, when it comes to attitude and a very strong fight against corruption.
