US President Donald Trump has refused to make a full commitment to a peaceful transfer of power following the November election, at a White House briefing on Wednesday.
"We will have to wait and see what happens," Trump said in response to a reporter's question about ensuring a peaceful handover of power.
The journalist asked the president: "If you win, lose or withdraw from the elections, will you commit yourself here today to a peaceful transfer of power after the elections?"
After a very extensive response, Trump retorted that "power will continue."
He first said, "We'll have to wait to see what happens." He then added: "(...) honestly, there will be no transfer of power, just a sequel."
