This is the long-term research work of historian Mataušić on the humanitarian Diana Budisavljević and events that have been kept silent or very little known so far. The author Nataša Mataušić wrote in the introduction that she dedicated the book to all women and mothers of the world, especially Diana Budisavljević, who saved about 7,700 children from Ustasha camps, shelters and homes. "The most painful experience in my work were numerous photos of helpless children. Today, these adults are again victims of those who deny their suffering. With this book, I tried to remove the injustice done to them and Diana Budisavljevic," said Matausic. As the promoter Milan Radanović from the Archives of Serbs in Croatia said at the promotion in the City Gallery Striegl , this topic gradually entered Croatian historiography only after 2000. In processing the action Budisavljević, as he said, the author had many difficulties, primarily because it is about the suffering of the youngest, which is painful, difficult and creepy content, then, because there were no more live actors of the event with whom she could talk, and many documents from that period have disappeared or it is not known where they are. In addition, the extensive material of existing historical sources, Radanović added, is dispersed over a wide area, so most of the actors in the event are unknown or forgotten.
