The Worst Presidential Debate in Recent History ’,‘ Chaotic Festival of Insults ’,‘ Epic Moment of National Shame ’; any of these phrases of the American press can withstand the onslaught of suspects who in the first presidential debate of Biden and Trumpwanted to dig up something commendable. But what is this debate and in which state, in the last ask God how many years, has it failed to blush one good piece of the national cheek? In fact, in order to be televised and watched at all, that's what she wants. Therefore, what we witnessed Tuesday night to Wednesday in front of Fox News cameras is not actually the twilight of democracy but rather a continuation of the modern political tradition - on its most spectacular stage - the American one. It was a one-and-a-half-hour Way of the Cross that, in front of millions of grogged pilgrims, described the torments of Tantalus faced by a more divided superpower than ever before.
It is important to start by clarifying the following: it is almost certain that the ‘results’ of the debates will not be the deciding factor in the upcoming elections. More than 90% of Americans already know who to vote for, and there are very few undecided voters. At this point in the 2016 presidential race, about 16% of the electorate was undecided, and now the figure is 3 to 4%. So what is the benefit of this week’s and upcoming debates? Well, if nothing else, it can serve us to examine the upcoming campaign strategy - which has been offered by both Trump and Biden - and it relates to the profile of the electorate and the state that will capture the maximum attention of political managers in the next month. So which countries are going to the campaign’s key messages and the biggest advertising money cake?
Donald Trump was the first to mention Pennsylvania. That, it seems, was not an accidental remark. Pennsylvania is Joe Biden’s home state, a ‘swing state’ in this election, a territory that carries 20 electoral votes and Trump has no luxury of losing the state thanks to which in 2016 he won a majority in the Electoral College. Recall, Hillary Clinton won nearly 3 million more votes than Trump that year, but thanks to a narrow victory in several “swing states” the Electoral College eventually turned to Trump. Trump also mentioned Ohio several times in the debate, claiming that the country has enjoyed its greatest prosperity probably since time immemorial. Truth be told, the state of Ohio has hired only 27,300 jobs this year, the worst result since the 2009 crisis and there is no doubt that over ‘The Buckeye State’ the next month to wage star wars. Biden also made it clear immediately after the debate where the priorities lay; while Trump was already heading back to Washington, Biden stayed in Cleveland - where the debate was taking place - to try to cash in on the last political chips from the rallies there. After that he travels, you guessed it - to Pennsylvania.
The smell of silly uncle
The question everyone woke up with on Wednesday morning is - who is the winner of the debate? The fact is - Biden arrived at the confrontation quite rusty. Somehow he avoided drooling in his shoe even though it could be sensed that the drugs were starting to run out as the end of the hearing approached. He tried to act like he was the only adult in the room, and it seemed enough to demonstrate that he hadn't lost his mental faculties — which, let's be realistic, was becoming harder to believe. No matter how much, in parts, he tried to address the first camera authoritatively, the smell of a silly uncle spreads from Biden, a helpless, motionless gaffer whose exit in front of the microphone turns into a nightmare for every PR man. What have the Democrats been doing for 4 years? Instead of finding a) a candidate and b) a program whose results that candidate could wait for alive,Mueller's investigation, Bret Kavanaugh , financial scandals, impeachment, were all more important than finding a relevant opponent who would be able to come out on top of Trump. The only achievement turns out to be the conquest of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the US Congress, which is, of course, Pir's victory - by the decisions of the Upper House and the Republican Senate, any unwanted political action will be blocked. Democrats have spent all the years of Trump’s presidency in vain. They bit him, scolded him and, finally, 'profiled' his candidate who was walking with one foot in the grave.
Trump, on the other hand, has waged a rather spectacular war on Twitter over four years or ordained chaos in American public life - which, to a large extent, he himself has carefully watered down. He showed that he would not miss any opportunity to 'slap' Biden and repeatedly messed with the most slippery theories about his family, dragging Biden's son and Elena Torbarin into the context of the Ukrainian secret accounts., Moscow's 'Miss Money'. The problem is that most of the time was shown by an almost pharaonic lack of empathy for a country that had long cried out for a ‘chief healer’. Biden readily jumped into his emotional cracks by practically writing obituaries to families who lost a family member during the pandemic - and that was effective. What is alarming is that Trump has not shown that he has a plan to replace Obamacare, which, as he recalled that night, he wants to eliminate. Millions of Americans benefit from this law, which has made access to health care cheaper and more affordable. Eliminating it, in the middle of a pandemic, without there being a basis for another program to replace it, seems like an incredibly stupid and dangerous idea.
The format of the confrontation was also a problem - for both viewers and Trump. Moderator Chris Wallace , by the way being a registered Democrat, insisted that each candidate answer his questions, instead of providing a little meat and allowing a more lively situation in which the debate would gain more fluid dynamics. Although the debate was divided into six segments, the questions were essentially eaten up by childish pranks and the discussion was soon emptied of all meaning. For Trump himself to bring up such a structured format on his back, with no help from 'sleepy' Biden, was unrealistic to expect, just as it is unrealistic to expect any balanced decision from either.

Politburo of American Politics
What we see in America is a bloodthirsty showdown between two establishments that break through the backbone of several Methuselahs. Extending political participation to difficult gerontology causes laughter for some, disgust for some, compassion for others, and it would not be worse to cause concern. The American elite is now, in fact, very similar to the Brezhnev or Chernekov Politburo . Nancy Pelosi , President of Congress, is 80 years old. Biden has 77. Bernie Sanders 78. Mitch McConnell , Republican leader of the Senate 78. Trump would eventually welcome the end of his second term at 78. People of that age are usually on medication and it would be insane to expect smart moves from them.
After the confrontation ended, in a poll conducted by CBS, 48% of respondents gave victory to Biden, 41% to Trump, and 11% opted for a draw. Most mainstream media bring - a few points up and down - a similar ‘score’ in post-debate polls. The tone of the debate was rated positive by only 17% of Americans, and the same percentage of respondents saw the debate as informative. At the end of the confrontation, 69% of the spectators had a 'feeling of irritation', and in 19% of them it caused a feeling of 'severe pessimism'.
In any case, the most striking moments of this chaotic showdown between Biden and Trump are not the insults they packed each other. What we will remember, first of all, is the macabre warning that remained hanging in the air after Trump left the stage: ‘This is not going to end well!’ He said. A few weeks ago, he went further, questioning not only the legitimacy of the election but also the peaceful transfer of power. The other side also participates abundantly in this denunciation of the election process. Just before the debate, Hillary Clinton gave ominous advice to Biden, advising him that ‘the election results should in no case be acknowledged’. Her scenario: election night is not final, and the main reason for this is the fact that more than 80 million Americans will vote by mail - all amid fears that polling stations could become new foci of the coronavirus. This is an unprecedented case in the world.
An emerging constitutional crisis
For comparison, this is twice the number of postal votes than in the 2016 elections. And to give things extra weight: according to the latest polls, as many as 78% of Americans plan to go to the polls, which will break all turnout records. By the way, voter turnout in the U.S. typically varies between 52-57%, and the famous record is held in 1968, when 60% of voters voted for Nixon’s victory over Herbert Humphrey . There is little or no doubt in Trump when he says, 'The situation with postal votes will be a scam the world has never seen before!' As always, everything the ‘Bad Tan Man’ says most media take with a grain of salt. But it would be incredibly foolish to claim that there is no truth here or that the room for possible electoral manipulation has been reduced to the level of a statistical error.
In the U.S., there is no document at the federal level that would function as a voter register, but each federal state comes with some version of its own. What do you think, with 13 million illegal immigrants in the country, how much deleted space should be left for ‘cosmetic’ registry additions before the postal vote? Finally, if someone needed proof that the name of a new or new old White House resident would not be known as early as November 3 or 4, he could be convinced of the so-called ‘primaries’ elections in New York, June 23rd. In the midst of the pandemic, the Electoral College was simply flooded with postal votes, there were far too many ballots than initially expected, a bunch of them were completely illegally rejected as invalid, and weeks passed before we found out the winner. Therefore, the question of the state's ability to count votes accurately and expeditiously by mail is legitimately raised. Like icing on the cake, a perfectly justified suspicion of a possible constitutional crisis and a crisis of power arrives, you will notice, at the worst possible moment; the country is almost falling apart, police union buildings are being set on fire, communes are supposedly independent of the federal government, people are being slaughtered on the road and all in all it is reminiscent of the imaginary we are used to seeing on some Third World pastures. What will happen if none of the candidates accepts the election result ...? they organize communes ostensibly independent of the federal government, people slaughter each other on the road, and all in all it is reminiscent of the imaginary we are used to seeing on some Third World pastures.
