On Saturday evening, the Zagreb area was hit by a severe storm. With heavy rain and thunder, hail was falling and a stormy wind was blowing.
Information about the damage has only just begun to arrive, and the consequences of the storm in Lučko are clearly evidenced by the photos published on Facebook by the Croatian Association of Flight Controllers.
The hangar in which the planes were was unrecognizable, a strong wind blew up the roof and significantly damaged the structure of the hangar. Parts of the structure damaged the aircraft in the hangar, and the aircraft on the runway ended up on the roof.

The Directorate of Civil Protection confirmed that the material damage was caused to the two roofs of the family house in Ježdovac, where the hangar of the Aeroclub Zagreb was also damaged and several smaller planes overturned.
The felling of several trees on the roads was also recorded.
The Directorate of Civil Protection also published data on the consequences of storms in the rest of Croatia.
In the area of Zadar County, several reports were received about fallen trees, electric and telephone poles and scattered objects, which was caused by a stormy south wind. There were no reports of major material damage. In Šibenik-Knin County, three reports of falling parts of trees on the road (Ivoševci, Gračac, Roški slap) and one report of falling parts of the roof on the road (Skradin) were received.
There were no major consequences of the weather in Istria, and two reports of flooded roads and four reports of fallen trees were received on the roads. Parts of the municipalities of Žminj and Cerovlje were without electricity supply for a while due to a power outage.

Between 11:05 pm and 12:30 am, the D 75 road on the Antenal Bridge was closed to all traffic due to high sea levels and large waves.
In the area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, from 4:59 pm, several reports were received from citizens about problems caused by heavy rain and strong wind. Reports of received manholes, trees and branches on the pavements in the area of Rijeka (Vukovarska Street, Bulevard oslobođenja, Osječka and surrounding streets) were received. On the A6 motorway, Ravna Gora junction, the exit lane from the direction of Zagreb and the entrance to Rijeka were closed, and traffic between the Ravna Gora - Vrbovsko junctions was slow due to water on the road.
Firefighters and communal services from the area of the city of Rijeka and the patrol and fire service of the Rijeka-Zagreb Motorway intervened. There was no major material damage.
In Lika-Senj County, in the evening, a storm with rain affected the area of the town of Senj and caused flooding of several commercial and residential buildings. JVP Senj fire brigade was engaged in pumping out the water. Also, several rock falls were recorded on the state roads DC 8 and DC 23.
In the area of Karlovac County in the evening, a storm with rain hit Karlovac and caused water to penetrate into the ground floor and basement rooms in several buildings. The firefighters of the Karlovac Public Utility Company intervened in the pumping intervention. Also, due to the storm accompanied by thunder and strong wind, there were difficulties in the supply of electricity in the area of the town of Ozalj.
In Krapina-Zagorje County, due to a strong storm followed by strong wind and rain, there were difficulties in the supply of electricity in the area of the town of Donja Stubica. Immediately after the event, all available HEP teams went out on the field and the failures were promptly eliminated. Several tree fellings on roads were removed by members of the DVD.
The storm that hit the area of Vukovar-Srijem County at around 5 o'clock caused the trees to fall on the roads, which was immediately removed. There were no major problems.
In other counties, there were no serious reports of the consequences of the storm.
