This is the result of a secret action that investigators have been conducting for a year, secretly recording the telephone conversations of the suspects and secretly monitoring them. Thanks to that, investigators, while waiting in an ambush in front of Kovačević's apartment in Tuškanova on Wednesday night, discovered that someone had informed Kovačević that an arrest was being prepared, so instead of Thursday morning, they broke into Kovačević's apartment on Wednesday night. As we find out, Kovačević has already started to remove certain things that he thought could compromise him, and he allegedly tried to destroy the mobile phones that the police found. Investigators broke into the apartment on time and arrested Kovacevic, and police are continuing their investigation to determine who was the person who nearly ruined their action. image Zeljko Puhovski / Cropix Adjustments As we unofficially find out, all three are suspected of setting up jobs for the owner of the company Elektrocentar Petek from Ivanić Grad, Krešo Petek , who was also arrested yesterday , in the last year . According to the suspicions of the police and USKOK, they either did it in exchange for a bribe or because of Petek's "influence". The company Elektrocentar Petek, by the way, is one of the leading Croatian companies for the construction of electrical infrastructure, but also other jobs in construction. Its founder, Krešo Petek, is one of the richest people in the Ivanić Grad area, and his name also appeared in the media in the case of former SDP prefect Marina Lovrić Merzel , but only as a witness. Apart from his father, Krešo Petek, the media also wrote about his son Miroslav , today's director of Elektrocentar Petek, due to a traffic accident. Another son, Mario , was sentenced to several years in prison for two car accidents that killed two people ten years ago. Partners In addition to the two mayors, Krešo Petek and director Janaf, nine other people were under investigation yesterday - mostly either Petek's business partners or employees in the city utilities of V. Gorica and Gradiška and Janaf, and project companies that USKOK suspects of making furniture. tenders. RELATED NEWS Zagreb, 300511. Dragan Kovacevic, leader of the Zagreb HNS. WHO IS D. KOVAČEVIĆ? Whoever receives this award, he can count on ending up in the black chronicle DRAŽEN BARIŠIĆ He is the owner of a number of real estates, he has scandals, and he has appeared in Parliament three times in the last 4 years! As we unofficially find out, the accusations against Petek refer to four different cases of "lobbying" for his company and his business partners to get jobs. In exchange for getting deals worth around 40 million kuna with Janaf, in the past year, the accusations claim, Petek paid Kovacevic 1.96 million kuna in bribes. In addition to the two of them, two lower-ranking directors - Vlado Zorić , director of security at Janaf, and Damir Vrbanc , director of the Oil Transport Department - are also suspected of rigging the tender on the orders of Chief Janaf . As we unofficially find out, they are suspected of setting up Petek's modernization works on the system of automatic extinguishing and cooling of tanks at the Omišalj terminal, then of arranging for Petek and his business partner Vatroslav Sablić to get work on expanding measuring stations in Omišalj, Sisak, Virje and Sotin. Investigators suspect Kovacevic that he received HRK 1.96 million in cash from Petek on November 11 last year in exchange for these deals. image Zeljko Puhovski / Cropix Power plant The second leg of the investigation concerns allegations of bribing SDP Mayor Nova Gradiska Vinko Grgic. It is suspected that Petek promised him 100,000 kunas in order to arrange for Petek and his business partner Vinko Maras the job of building the Biosol solar power plant worth around 4 million kunas. According to investigators, Grgić favored Petek by hiring the company Nabava doo Iva Šuler to prepare the tender , which, in agreement with Petek, prepared the tender documentation so that in the end Petek and his business partner have the best conditions. The next two incriminations relate to the jobs that Petek wanted to get in the area of Velika Gorica, with the help of Mayor Dražen Barišić. It was a matter of "design and reconstruction of wastewater treatment plants in Velika Gorica". USKOK claims that Barišić helped Petek by connecting Petek and his consultant Mirjana Prodan with Tomislav Jelisavac , the director of the city company VG Vodoopskrba doo, which was the client. Secretly recording the telephone conversations of the suspects, the police and USKOK concluded that at Petek's request, Barišić asked Jelisavac to constantly inform Petek about the plans of other bidders in the tender and to allow Petek to change the scoring criteria in the tender. In the end, the offer of Petek's company of HRK 118 million was chosen as the most favorable, ie it was as much as HRK 30 million cheaper than the offer of Strabag. The fourth incriminating deal also refers to V. Gorica, and it is an attempt to influence the work of renovating the public lighting system in the city worth 33 million kuna. Investigators suspect that Barišić, at Petek's request, first canceled the public tender from October 2018 because Elektrocentar Petek did not make the best offer. On Friday, Barišić urged that the tender be set up in such a way that a "pre-tender" is already set up, in which the company drafting the project for the main tender will be selected. Thus, the company IPT Inženjering, Petek's acquaintance Ljubomir Perušić , won the pre-tender , which, it is suspected, should have designed the tender in order to win Petek. According to the content of the recorded conversations, IPT Inženjering started drafting the project documentation, but there was no tender, and yesterday the police started making arrests.
